Introducing Lucy,  she is a 9 year old Chihuahua mix, that is tan and white and weighs 11 pounds. She is very affectionate and gentle, but she also has anxiety and tends to shake and chew her nails.  Lucy would be best suited as the only dog, in your household . With her fears she would do best in a home with children over 12 years as younger kids excitement may scare her. She is very afraid of larger dogs. She is also afraid of leashes, belts, and things of that likeness. Lucy has slowly gotten comfortable with her leash and wearing a harness for walks but we feel since she is still working on these issues a fenced yard would be the best fit for her.  She is very timid at first, but with a comfortable routine, will quickly warm up to her owner.  She enjoys playing with stuffed toys and balls.  Lucy loves napping with people, especially with soft fleece blankets.  She is completely house trained, but may have an occasional accident when she’s scared, nervous, or when introducing a new pet, which is to be expected of any new dog in your home. She is trained though to let you know when she needs to go outside and will sit at your feet or at the door. Lucy will chase cats, rabbits and birds outside.  Lucy sleeps in her crate at night with her favorite blanket and a small bowl of water.  She may bark for a few minutes but falls asleep quickly. We know Lucy may have a few quirks about her but we feel she has lots of love to give to the right owner who is patient with her. If you feel you are that person, please apply at Buffalopugs.org. She is also one of the dogs listed as one of our senior for senior adoptables.
