Now that's Smiles has spent some time in his foster home we feel that he would do better in an adult only home.  He needs a dog experienced person who can continue to work with him. His foster mom can go over some details with you if you're interested in learning more!

SMILES In three words: Friendly, Fiesty, Affectionate Smiles' wish would be to find a home with a family who can provide structure and a stable environment, someone who will continue to teach him the rules of being a polite dog in the house. As a surrender, Smiles did not know how to act, he was given too much freedom in the past. Foster mom has been working with him on the rules of proper dog etiquette. Smiles has made significant improvement. He still wears a belly band in the house, but it's precautionary at this point. Smiles gets along with other dogs, enjoys being outside (under a shade tree is the best) and absolutely loves when people come to visit. He hardly sheds (which for being 1/2 pug is amazing!) and is a compact 17 lbs. Being predominantly black he's hard to photograph, but be assured he is good looking and quite charming. He loves going for walks and can be a real conversationalist, if you're familiar with pug "wooo-wwooo-wooo" talk. He is crate trained and usually only barks if one of the other dog housemates gets the chorus started. Smiles got a good report from the vet this week and is officially looking for his forever home and family. He has a lot of love to give to that lucky family.
