Bernard is a gorgeous long haired dachshund with black and brown fur. He is approximately 6 years old, 9 pounds, and appears to be free of any serious health concerns. He does need a dental cleaning quite badly and any adopter will have to agree to addressing this immediately.  Coming from a situation with little to no positive human interaction,  he is still coming out of his shell with his foster family. He is good with other dogs and cats and, though fearful of humans, has displayed no aggression. The most charming feature of his is probably his bark because it is low and booming which makes him sound hilariously like a very big dog.
