Gerti is a 2 year old cream french bulldog that is a breeder release.She will be 3 on October 5th and is searching for a forever home for her first birthday as a pet! 

Gerti LOVES other dogs and will only be placed in a home with other dogs. She loves her side kicks, not only to cuddle with, play and wrestle with or sleep next to- she gets confidence from her fur siblings and learns from them. She is in the process of housebreaking, learning from her foster sisters, and will do well when kept on a schedule. She does not like to be crated. She is currently left gated in the living room with her foster sisters while her foster parents are away, and this suits her just fine! She has beds to nap on and sisters to cuddle with! She loves toys and is great with sharing.

Need to run some errands? Go for a walk at Canalside on a cool evening? Stop for some ice cream?! Gerti is ready to go! She is great in the car and on leash and is the perfect sidekick. While she is very affectionate with other dogs, she is a little reluctant with her people and is slower to trust and show affection. She will come to you and snuggle, just on her own terms. She is also not a fan of being picked up, but will tolerate it. Gerti is great with kids of all ages and very gentle.

Gerti does have some allergies and currently takes benadryl and gets medicated baths one a week. She eats a grain-free food and needs to continue on a quality grain-free food to keep her allergies in check. Due to trauma from either ear infections/allergies or bites, she had hematomas in both ears that were not drained immediately. Her little crumpled ears are fine, and we think match her fun personality! She is getting spayed Tuesday the 13th and will be available soon after.
