Kai is a beautiful, soft, cuddly Amish breeder  release. Kai was born with both sets of reproductive organs and therefore unable to breed, which is why she was released. Due to her background she has some very specific needs for potential adopters. These needs are non negotiable  so please read carefully. Kai is not housebroken and may never be 100%.  She does  follow the lead of the other dogs in the home. Too many times dogs are returned to rescue once the family realizes what a challenging job it is cleaning up after the pup. You have to be 100% fine with messes in the house it's just going to be a fact of life. Kai needs to live with another dog who has lived with dogs in the past. Do not plan to adopt Kai  if your dog has been an only child it's whole life. Kai on the other hand loves all dogs and curently lives with multiple pugs  and loves them all. She  does have playful puppy tendencies and barks and chases to get a game going so another active dog would be best. Kai also lives with several kitties in the home and does fine with them. Older children are fine as long as they can respect the small dog's boundaries and fears.  We can't risk a young child leaving the door open and Kai escaping due to her huge flight risk. This is a dog that will take a long time to develop trust, she has lived in her foster home for 5 months and is still working on feeling safe. While Amish breeder release experience is not required, it would be extremely helpful to know what you're dealing with. Kai is definitely not your typical pug.  Families tend to get their hopes up about their new family member and then are very disappointed when it's a fearful dog that hides and pancakes to the floor and doesn't seek you out for attention .  We aren't saying it will never happen but it is going to take time . It is imperative that Kai's new family be loving, patient and understanding. Applications will be carefully scrutinized and only perfect matches will be contacted for meet and greets.
