Peri Pineapple is a 5 year old mill momma that is figuring out the good life in her foster home. She shares her home with Frenchie and English sisters and is learning so much from them about what life is like as a pet. She has only been in foster care a short time, but already, she has learned that car rides are fun (especially if there is a stop at the Magic Window), bones and antlers are better than chewing on furniture, couches are comfy, and naps with her sisters or people is just heaven! She is a big cuddle bug and is an excellent companion while watching tv! She is very curious and when she gets to a new place, she has to check out every square inch. She does do a little "redecorating" as she is first exploring, so be careful of breakables!

Peri is doing very well so far with housebreaking, despite the frigid temperatures. She is learning from her foster sisters quickly! She will need continued frequent potty breaks in her new home until she gets the hang of it. She is sleeping straight through the night in her crate without an accident.

Peri is in excellent shape considering where she came from. She suffers from dry eye in both eyes and will need drops for her entire life. She also has arthritis in both back legs and her front left elbow. Her mid-back is also a bit arthritic. We are giving her Glycoflex 3 supplements and Duralactin. She would benefit from laser thrapy on these areas.

Since she has only been in her foster home less than a week, she has not yet picked up on the regular eating schedule, but she will get the hang of it. She needs a high quality grain-free food, and is currently eating Canidae Pure Boar or Bison and Acana Heritage Meats.

Peri can do multiple steps in and out of the house for potty breaks, but has not been brave enough to go up or down the "big" stairs yet. She does allow you to pick her up and carry her.
