" Momo" is a sweet senior. He is shy and reserved until he knows you. He lives with kitties and pugs and is great with all. He has lived with children and had no issues- he is a pug after all. Older kids preferred (if any) due to his senior ailments. Momo loves to play with the stuffed toys known as "pug eggs" and will follow you anywhere for a treat! Momo needs a special retirement home and here's why: at some point in his life he suffered a disc injury, surgery not appropriate at his age and no guarantees it would even help him. His spine has grown slightly curved to accommodate his pain, he drags his hind legs a bit and walks a little off balance. He shouldn't jump or play rough. Please no big dogs or young kids. His condition is currently managed with nerve pain meds and an anti-inflammatory. Both very affordable. He is scheduled to be neutered which we hope will help with his other problem- an enlarged prostate. This seems to be causing him to not be able to urinate normally. He's been treated for a UTI and had an X-ray to rule out bladder stones. Vet recommends special food to prevent stones long term. Vet feels the neuter will help his prostate and in turn his urinary issue. So he has a couple minor treatable, manageable health concerns that a potential adopter needs to know and be willing to work with. We envision a calm, kind and loving home where Momo can feel safe and have gentle play. Meet and greets currently being set up. He won't be ready until middle-end of May. We're reviewing applications now. Momo needs someone who understands his needs and will love him for who he is.
