UPDATE: 2/15/16 Prim has been medically cleared of heartworms !! Once her spay is complete she can go to her forever home, applications and meet and greets are now being accepted for this amazing girl.
Prim is a 4 yr old PitBull that was used as a breeder...for reasons we will not know. She was pulled from an out of state shelter when a Buffalo Pug volunteer saw how sick she was with an upper respiratory infection. Prim was brought into the shelter VERY pregnant when her past owners abandoned her in that apartment she got evicted from. Within days she gave birth to five beautiful puppies but Prims health was so poor that she could not care for them. The shelter staff bottle fed them but unfortunately they did not make it so Buffalo Pugs vowed to pull this girl and get her back on her feet and the medical attention she so badly needed. We found out in addition to a respiratory infection she was also loaded with all types of worms.... Worst of all heartworm. Once arriving to safety Prim was vetted and heartworm treatment started. She has done very well with that treatment and decompressing in the crate--- but this girl LOVES her humans. She hears your voice and her tail starts wagging and she gets all excited to see you. She loves to be brushed and also belly rubs and after will lay he head on her foster moms shoulder to say thank you. She has met other dogs of all sizes and no aggression issues seen. She is crate trained, housebroken and only chews on her toys. prim loves people and we think she would make a great addition to almost any household. If you feel that you are the right family for Prim please apply although she is on medical hold applications are welcome.
