Pupdate: My foster mom and her trusted BPSBR partner took me to Guelph to be seen. We received great news! I CAN GET MY SURGERY! The cost will be about $3500- $4000. BPSBR needs to raise the funds that will save me and the vet thinks after I get my surgery, I will live a normal life just as long as any other dog. If you are able to please donate to help with the cost. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you to those that already have and thank you to those that do so in the future.

Please read my entire bio as my foster mom may not  contact you any time soon because she needs to get either an enhanced license or passport for more vetting. Also please remember after my surgery I will need an echocardiograph yearly which will cost approximately 500 to make sure my surgery is still working.  If this isn't something you can afford please keep this in mind if applying.

Hi, my name is Remington, but my foster momma calls me Remy. I'm a French Bulldog that was an Amish puppy mill dog. They let me go to rescue because I have a heart murmur. I was originally diagnosed with a grade four heart murmur by the first vet I saw by BPSBR in Ohio. When I came to Buffalo, I saw another vet, Dr. Malo, he loved giving me smooches because I'm oh so adorable. Well, when I came in he saw me and then wanted to wait a whole month to see if my murmur got better or worse. We went again and he saw no difference. Dr. Malo then wanted me to go to a specialist, so I then went to Dr. Brummer at Orchard Park. Upon further testing I'm actually a grade 5 heart murmur and I have pulmonary stenosis. My foster mom was very sad that day, she found out that without surgery I may live only to be 4 years old, it was a sad day for both of us. Well the team at BPSBR love me and all of their dogs so much that they will do everything they can to help their dogs. They are currently trying to get me balloon angioplasty. That way I can live as long as any other dog. It may be some time before they can give you any answers on my medical, so my foster mom isn't contacting any applications until they know more about my prognosis. The surgery is costly but they feel I'm 100% worth it! I think so too. BPSBR will begin fundraising for my surgery soon, if you can help me please donate to rescue@buffalopugs.org and put Remy in the memo. They will make sure that goes to me. In the meantime, I've been put on a beta blocker to help regulate me. All of the vets recommend that I still play like a puppy and that's just what my momma is doing even though I know that makes her nervous but that's every mom right?! Please consider making a donation to give me a long happy life.

Love,

Remington aka Remy
