Frosty Frankie as he is affectionately known to us came to by way of call for help from the North Collins DCO. He was being crated on a porch in the freezing cold, after warnings he was once again found in the same position. He so cold his fur had ice on it even after being in a heated truck for sometime. His previous owner who was from out of state was supposed to come pick him up but never did. Frosty arrived at Buffalo Pugs a matted mess with sores, a horrible skin infection and full of worms. He has been this way for some time sadly. His fur and face were so matted it was hard to tell is true breed, Shih Tzu or Lhasa... Frosty Frankie has recently had a spa day and WOW ! Under all that mess was one gorgeous guy that we believe to be Lhasa Apso.
Since his first day at his foster home he has gone to the door and let his Mom know he needed to go outside, he has been wonderful with all his dog and cat foster brothers and sisters as well.
He is not your typical lap dog as he is more independent and prefers to sit by you and get a little loving then find a quiet place to relax. Frankie is an older gentleman and seems to have had a poor start, we want to find a home where he will be a part of the family, loved and treated like a king.
Frankie is crate trained, appears to be completely house trained , although keep in mind accidents could and do happen. Calm respectful children over 7 would probably best for him or a senior looking for a great companion. Frankie has lots of life and energy left in him.
He will be on medical hold until his skin heals more and he is neutered, but applications are always accepted.
