Pretty Pippin! This beautiful baby was found wandering on the cold winter streets of Niagara Falls by a local animal lover. She couldn't bear to leave this baby out on her own in this frigid weather, so she contacted us and we immediately got her safe and warm in rescue. Because she is a stray, we only have "best guesses" on her age and breed from our vet. The good doctor tells us Pippin is a Border Collie mix who is approximately 8 months old. Sadly, at her young age, she has already had a litter of puppies. She has recently been spayed and is up to date on all vaccines and vetting. Pippin LOVES everyone. She will greet you with a bazillion kisses and let you know she's been waiting all her life to meet you! Pippin knows no strangers, she thinks she's known you forever and will jump on you and love you to prove it! She's been having a ball with the other dogs in her foster home and is BFF's with the resident pugger pup. Because she is such an active, playful & lively dog, small children could get bowled over by her attentiveness. She's hard at work on leash walking and potty training. She's a little behind on her skills from having to fend for herself as a stray, so she needs a little extra patience and diligence. Update On Pippin 1/27/15 : Pippin has done very well with house training and is now 90% there with just a very occassional accident. She is doing well on basic commands is her foster Mom says she is a very smart little girl who has also with time and love come around to her crate as well.
