Mika is brand new to rescue so we are still learning about her. We don't always bring dogs of her size into the rescue but her foster has a soft spot for huskies so welcome Mika to Buffalo pug rescue. Mika is being fostered with a large range in size of dogs and cats and also young children so we should get a great feel for her behaviors. Mika is a neglect case. She is horribly skinny and we will make sure to fatten her up. She is missing patches of fur and will be sure to make sure theres no medical reason for that. She has no issues with being petted while eating but has shown she doesnt want another dog stealing her food. Some dogs once they learn resources aren't scarce overcome this, others don't so we will update this down the line. Mika came to us in heat so we will have to wait until this cycle is done until she can be spayed and available for adoption. So far we think she will make a great addition to any family as she has shown nothing but a great attitude especially given how she was neglected in the past. She likes to be near her people and gives kisses. The husky breed can be notorious escape artists so a fully fenced yard is a must and we always recommend researching the breed to see if they are the right fit for your family.
