Tobie!  We have NO IDEA just what Tobie's breed lineage is.  We've gone with what his shelter record says, and thats a Shih-Tzu/Boston Terrier Mix.  We've also seen poodle/terrier, and a whole list of other possibilities.  We'll just go with one hundred percent ADORABLE.  

Poor sweet Tobie is just 11 months old.  In his short life, he hasn't had much luck.  Tobie was found in Kentucky as a stray with some obvious injuries.  A kind person brought him to the shelter, where they quickly realized he had a broken leg and a fractured pelvis.  Tobie was in bad shape upon arrival, and was too shocky for surgery, so crate rest was decided upon for his treatment.  (This is a very common practice for pelvic fractures in dogs,  and his leg was broken in a place where splinting & casting would only impede proper healing.)  He has done very well with this treatment, and has been a happy little camper throughout.  He is 6 weeks into his crate rest, and has 2 weeks left to go.  Then he'll be ready for his new home!

Tobie loves other dogs and cannot wait to be able to frolic with his foster siblings.  He does come out of his crate & excercise pen for potty breaks, where he does just fine holding up his affected leg while he walks.  He LOVES his foster family.  His favorite spot is bundled up in towels & clothes on the bathroom floor while his foster mom takes a shower.  He enjoys toys, treats, & SNUGGLES whenever he can get them.  He is housebroken and doesn't seem bothered by the resident kitties.
