Scoobie is one beautiful boy! He was surrendered to us due to separation anxiety.  Who can blame him since he has had atleast 3 homes (he has been micro-chipped 3 times). He will bark and cry when his foster mom leaves the room. Scoobie is a smart boy that is housebroken, knows sit, down, drop it, takes treats beautifully, and loves to cuddle.

Being that shelties are a herding breed we will not adopt him out to a family with young children that don't have dog experience. He is wonderful with calm respectful children. Scoobie feels safest in a quiet home. He seems to do fine with cats. He also seems to be good with dogs that are mellow. His breed instincts are strong so someone with herding experience or dog training is preferred. We would  like for his forever home to have a strong leader so he learns to relax and you don't need his protection.

If you think you are what eachother need please feel free to fill out an application so his foster mom can talk to you about him. Scoobie is capable of giving more love than you could ever hope for! He is wonderful with his foster family and with some tips from a trainer we are hopeful he will trust again.

*Update*

Scoobie lives with 2 children, 4 other dogs and 3 cats and we've seen such improvement! I feel Scoobie would do well with another dog(s) to help him with some of his anxiety. The dog(S)would have to be well behaved  that is on the calmer side. Scoobie does very well with corrections. He still gets nervous for a minute when you let him outside alone but if he has another doggie friend settles much quicker. Scoobie would love a home that his people aren't away for very long periods of time. Scoobie just needs someone with patience and understanding. He has been bounced around far too much in his short life and deserves his next home to be furever! Scoobie is in my mind a true rescue, he has been misunderstood for so long. Where others gave up we gave hope, training and patience. I'm glad he came into our lives. We know very little about his past but we know his present and future are now what matter. I'm so glad I've been blessed to learn from him and him from me. If you would like more info from his foster family please submit an application and we'd be happy to talk to you about our " scoobs"
