Wookie is a super sweet friendly Peke, he is dog , cat and child friendly. He loves to sit atop of furniture to watch out the window or to snuggle with you. He walks well on a leash and loves going for strolls to explore his world.

He has had a rough start to his life in the beginning, finding himself in a bit of a jam and landing in doggie jail! Poor Wook was on the dreaded "list" when Buffalo Pugs was called to save him from his fate. Even through all this he was just a calm , happy little fellow. When we first found him he was suffering from such a bad case of flea dermatitis he had areas where his hair was fallig out and very, very bad itchy skin. He is allergic to flea bites and this is the reaction he gets so it is a must he has good flea and tick prevention and is also fed a good quality dog food to keep his skin allergies at bay. Diet and a special shampoo along with prevention is all this boy needs to be comfortable and happy. Today his coat is as full and lush as any of those show ring Pekes!

Wookies only draw back.... He has an adventerous side! He loves being outdoors and will take ANY opportunity to get there, he will fly past you at an open door to seek out fun and explore. For this reason and keeping his safety in mind at all costs he MUST have a completey secured fenced yard.  We will continue working on door control with him but this is also training that will need to be continued in his new home as well.
