October is pit bull awareness month so I wanted to share a few breed facts about me with you. Helen Keller owned a pit bull, sgt. Stubby was a war hero dog. He was a stray pit that is to my knowledge still the most highly decorated war dog that is also known for why we now have the half time show during football games. Our breed also does rescue work. We are search dogs and therapy dogs. I have heard we have a locking jaw which is a common myth. We dont even have the strongest bite, we rank between a lab and shephard. Whichever dog has the biggest mouth has the strongest bite so please stop spreading this myth about me. I know my breed has been given a bad rap but I'm just a regular dog that loves the same thing any other dog loves...to have some treats, a belly rub, a nice spot next to you on the couch(I appoligize I might steal a big spot since I sometimes think Im only a 10 lb dog), and most importantly a loving home with a family all my own.

Isn't Ronan such a handsome boy? Ronan the red nose pit is a happy, playful, pup. He is crate trained. He does well with large and small dogs. He lives with cats too. He likes to chase them and tries to lick them, so some cats may not be thrilled with this. He also lives with young children and does well. Did you know pit bulls have been referred to as the " nanny dog" because of how well they behave with kids?

He is doing great with his walking skills and he also does great along side his foster mom and dad's bike rides, so he would love to be your exercise partner. Ronan also loves to fetch his ball. He will retrieve it and drop it for you to throw it again. He knows sit and down. He picks up on things quick so I'm sure you can teach him many more tricks!
