Amber is a sweet little, tiny schnauzer mix. She came to us rrom a kill shelter and, being a special needs dog, she was facing the risk of euthanasia.

Amber is quite the lover and lap dog! She has a grade 2/6 heart murmur and does not require any medication. She also has a previous injury to her right hip and knee which we will be evaluating. It is currently out of socket and has been for some time, as this is clearly an old injury. For the time being, Amber let's nothing stop her, though she does skip on that leg and elevate at times. She loves snuggling and gets along well with other dogs. Her foster mom will be adding further info to her bio soon, so please keep an eye out!

**UPDATE** A note from Amber's Foster Mom:

Amber is 10 lbs of love.  She loves to sit on your lap. At night she loves to sleep on two pillows at the top of the bed .  Now that she is feeling better (kennel cough) she plays with toys and loves to chew rawhide treats.  Even though she has a problem with her back leg that doesn’t keep from running and playing with her foster brother.  She can run up and down a flight of stairs but if she is tired it’s a little too much.  The best part is she is so small it’s easy to carry her around.  She looks so cute with her new hair cut.  Come and see her at the BAC you will fall in love.
