Duckie is an adorable little Lhasa Apso girl who was removed from a neglectful home in Western, NY. She'd lived the beginning of her life tied out to a dog house in the inclement weather we have in the area.

She came to us terribly matted and so, so hungry! Duckie is a young girl- maybe a year old. She'd clearly never been groomed before until we got her, so she did give the girls a hard time when she was being cleaned up. She expecially doesn't like her face messed with. We think with time and continued exposure to regular grooming, Duckie will relax some and be more tolerant of being groomed. She is dog friendly, and gets along well with other dogs; even likes to play. She can be a bit grouchy about other dogs being in her food bowl, but doesn't have a problem with people being in her food. She is very active and walks well on a leash. She absolutely loves plush and squeaky toys and will amuse herself endlessly playing with her toys. She also loves rawhides.

Duckie's foster mom is getting her started with her training and she's heading in for her spay surgery very soon. Once she's recovered, she will be ready for her forever home. If you'd like to adopt Duckie, please submit your adoption application today!!
