Update: Gigi's eye has been removed and she is healing well. No more pain for this beautiful pug lady! Thank you all for your support- It allows us to keep helping little ones in need!!

Gorgeous Gigi came to our rescue after suffering an eye injury during a nail clipping. Her family tried medications to repair the eye but unfortunately, that approach didn't work and they turned to us to provide Gigi with further care.

At our vet's recommendation, we continued antibiotic ointments and drops. Gigi's eye did not show any improvement with this approach and it's become clear that the only way to relieve the pain and discomfort she is in is to have her eye removed. Due to the significant damage and swelling, we believe that at this time, Gigi is not able to see from the eye and we are very hopeful that once removed, she will quickly acclimate to being a gorgeous one eyed girl.

Gigi is incredibly sweet and well behaved. She's a smart girl who is very, very loving! She is great with other dogs, cats and children as well! We are currently raising funds to help with Gigi's eye surgery! Every little bit brings us closer to helping Gigi and continuing to answer the calls of dogs in need everywhere.
