01503 - Tonka
Tonka came to our rescue to avoid being euthanized. He's a very unique young boy who the shelter believed was a boston terrier mix. We're not totally sure but he's a beefy boy, hence the name Tonka!
He's super loving and friendly and likes other dogs. We'll be updating his bio with further information soon!
Dear potential adopters:
My name is Tonka. My adults think I may be a bulldog mix, and I am about 2 years old. I was removed from a home due to neglect. I still have lots of puppy energy and love to play with other dogs. I don't understand what cats are though, and if I see them make a move, I will chase after them! I am working on my potty training too. I am crate trained and am happy to oblige spending time in my crate while my adults go out for a while. I love to play with all kinds of toys, especially ropes and stuffed toys. I am working on not stealing my adults' shoes. I also sometimes get carried away and try to nip at feet but I never hurt anyone. I would do best in a home with no small children, mostly because I can easily knock them over while playing. I like to sleep in bed with my adults and love to go on walks. I follow my adults around the house because I just can't stand not knowing what they're up to! I have a heart of gold. AND I have something cool that most other dogs don't. I have one brown eye and one blue eye. I am sweet, playful and have a HUGE heart. I can't wait to find my forever family.
Love,
