Meet the very handsome, Rufio! This little boy found himself in a very overcrowded kill shelter in Ohio. He had been picked up as a stray and unbelievably, no one came to claim him. This little prince is now in our rescue and safe from euthanasia!

Rufio is sweeter than sugar! He’s a silly boy who often takes his naps belly up. He likes to sleep on your feet or curled up close against you if you let him. He is all about giving kisses and letting his people know just how much he loves them! Rufio is fairly active and would love to have a big yard to safely play in. He doesn’t seem to know just yet what to do with toys, but we’re sure he will figure it out and have a ball! Rufio is literally perfect with other dogs. When we saw him in the shelter, he was in a kennel with a dog 5 times his size and seemed to enjoy her company. He’s been flawless with the several other dogs he’s met; even the ones that didn’t seem to like him. He is not a picky eater and is more than happy to nibble on some hard kibble. He loves walks, does great on a leash and takes treats nicely. He also enjoys car rides and will rest his head and watch the world fly by!

Because he was found as a stray, we know very little about Rufio’s past. He’s just a young boy so he does have some learning to do. He doesn’t care for being in the crate and will bark and cry when in there. We’re going to try giving him something interactive to see if that helps with crating (such as a peanut butter filled kong). His foster mom has been leaving him out of his crate when she's not home and has had NO issues such as destructive behavior or accidents.
