Lupito came to us from a very high kill dog pound in Virginia. He was heart worm positive, but has been treated. He is now ready for his forever home, but should remain on monthly preventative year round for the rest of his life!!
**UPDATE FROM LUPITO'S FOSTER MOM**
Lupito, meaning little wolf, came to us from a high kill shelter suffering from heart worms . It seems that his time recovering on crate rest and the whole shelter experience has left him a little anxious and afraid of new things and people. However, in the time he has been with us with some patience he is slowly coming around.
Lupi, as we affectionately call him, is a real dog lover as he has been bonding fast with the largest and smallest of our brood, including the cats. This unique looking little guy is very handsome, resembling a tiny German Shepherd. Weighing in at just 10 pounds, he will be perfect for any home. He is small but sturdy!
He is house trained and happily will lay on a pillow where he can see what is going on and in time once he is more self assured, I am sure will be a great lap dog. Lupito is not yappy and has very good manners. Every day that goes by we are seeing a happier dog emerge.
