Oct. 4, 2012: We're sad to say that Max has crossed over the rainbow bridge in the loving arms of his foster mom. Thank you Jill for caring for this baby during his time with us.

Max was discarded by a breeder and made his way to our rescue.

What was thought to be a heart murmur turned out to be a much more severe congenital heart defect. Unfortunately, Max’s heart condition is inoperable. We currently have him on Cardiac Medication to encourage as much heart health as possible, but the future is somewhat unknown for the little guy.

Max is in Hospice Care with our rescue. He will live his life in his foster home until it’s time for Max to go to heaven. As sad as this situation is, Max is living the life with his foster mom, Jill and furry foster siblings. He is a happy, playful pup. He’s got the cutest silly little underbite and over the past few months, we’ve watched him grow! He’s an amazing and very smart little boy.

When we take a dog into our rescue, we make a promise to them that they will never again go without love, food or medical care. It can be expensive when we have dogs that will remain in foster care forever. Please consider sponsoring Max or one of the other dogs in our care. They deserve to have an army standing behind them to make sure their life is nothing short of perfect.
