Sara is a sweet girl who came to us from a high kill dog pound in Virginia. Sara is a 1 year old black and white terrier mix.

Sara loves to be a little lap dog, however she is very energetic when it comes to playing with the other dog in her foster home who is also a youngster. Sara gets along with him very well but once in awhile when she cant get a toy that she wants, she will be a bit snarky. She is easily corrected verbally when needed. Sara would do best in a kitty-free home. She is a bit snotty towards the cat in her foster home.

Sara's ideal home would consist of very loving parents, a child to play with and one other dog. She would not do well in a multiple dog household. Sara did make a stop at our vet because we had some concerns about the thin hair around her eyes. As it turns out, this is probably due to poor nutrition and already appears to be improving. She also has mild patella luxation in one of her back legs. It does not slow her down at all and our vet does not recommend surgery. She is a very nice, tolerant girl who doesn't mind having her ears cleaned or taking a bath.

She is such a little sweetie pie and is already full grown at 16lbs. She does have some basic obedience and knows sit, stay and down but would really benefit from some further training. She is doing well with her bathroom habits too. She will run back and forth when she has to go and is great about following her brother's lead when going outside.
