Abby is a sweet little girl. She came to us from a very high kill shelter in Virginia. Abby is about 1 year old and we believe she is a miniature dachshund/miniature pinscher mix.
Abby was a bit reserved at first. When she got off of transport, she was a bit nervous to come out of her cage, but our volunteers loved on her for a little while and she started to come out of her shell. Abby is absoutely the sweetest little dog. She loves to cuddle and as she settles into her foster home more and more, her tail begins to wag more and more. Abby can walk on a leash and on one of her walks, her foster mom actually watched this reserved little girl bark at 2 other dogs. She is pretty much housebroken, but will need assistance when she moves into a new environment. She is also crate trained and sleeps through the night.
Abby does enjoy the company of other dogs and she also enjoys larger dogs. At first she seems to be rather independent, but as she settles into a new home, her attachment to the other dogs will become more clear.
Abby is going into the vet on April 24th to be spayed, but we are currently accepting adoption appliations for her. If you'd like to make her your little peanut, please submit your adoption application today!
