Little Louie was surrendered because his owner felt he needed a new home with people that had more time to spend with him. We were told Louie is a chihuahua/poodle, but we can't seem to look past some of his Westie-like features, so we're not totally certain on his mix, but we are certain that he's a nice guy!

Louie hasn't been offered much in the way of training. It's all very new to him now. Louie is learning about walking on the leash nicely, He is usually very eager to go on walks and tends to pull a little bit on the leash. We've been using a harness to walk Louie and it's been going well. He still pulls a bit, but he's only 10 lbs, so his pulling isn't much of a problem. He's also learning other manners, like where to go to the bathroom. Louie isn't housebroken yet but has done very well. He hasn't had any poo accidents, just a few tinkle accidents. Neutering and Training will certainly solve this. Otherwise, Louie is a fantastic boy. He's so happy and full of life. He loves to run and play in the yard and loves his soft treats. He takes gently from our hands and likes to be a lap dog sometimes. Louie does get along well with other dogs. His last owner reports that he does not do well with alpha dogs, however we haven't seen him bump heads with any of the dogs. Louie would also do well with childre 8+ and would love to have a home with a fenced in yard and a special someone willing to give him lots of belly rubs!
