Tukow is an adorable 5 month old terrier mix who came to us from a very high kill dog pound in Virginia. He is now in his foster home and getting a taste of the good life.

Tukow is a little guy. He's about 10 lbs now and will be about 20 lbs full grown. His foster family says he is a smart, loving little guy. He is kind and playful towards the cats in his foster home, but they are pretty independent. We think Tukow will do fine with children and in general he's quite the little ladies man. He has quickly picked up on his training and knows to go to the door if he has to potty. He will tinkle when he's on the leash, but likes to have a little room to do his duty so a fenced in yard would be ideal. He has had a few accidents, but he's doing great for a pup of his age. He responds to some commands like stop, sit, down, easy and gentle. He will need further training but has a great start.

Tukow is a little doll. He loves wearing sweaters and is a total lap dog. He loves his blankie and his chews. He is so ready to be someone's baby! Also, Tukow is not fond of any animal planet shows or anything that depicts his former life. He will bark at the TV until the channel is changed. His foster family is sure to reassure him that he will never know that life again. He's just too cute and ready to be part of a loving family!
