When it came to Jax, one of the ladies at the shelter said “you have to take him !” And we are so glad we did! Jax is a 3 year old pug/boxer mix. This wasn't his first time at the shelter after being returned because his owners were moving. However, this was certainly his last time at the shelter.

Jax is 42lbs and is a beautiful brindle boy. He's got a little extra chub, but has a very stocky build and a big chest. We think he's super handsome with his satin-like black mask. Jax's foster mom thinks he is great! He settled into her home very easily and is happy to play with the other 2 dogs in his foster home. Jax gets very excited when its time for a treat but knows that the other dogs have to get some goodies too and is respectful about it. Jax really just loves to love. He enjoys attention and snuggle time and follows the lead of the other dogs well. Jax does walk on a leash and will tolerate crating, though he may whimper at first. He has some previous training in terms of housebreaking but will need a little reinforcement when settling into a new environment. He is guided by other dogs and will follow them outside to potty. The shelter told us that Jax was raised in a home with children and that he is great with them. As we socialize Jax in various situations, we'll be able to better assess his behavior with children. At this point, we have not seen anything to make us think that he'd be anything short of wonderful with children.

ALL of our volunteers just love Jax. He's a wonderful boy and whomever adopts Jax will be very lucky! If you'd like to make Jax the newest furry member of your family, please submit your adoption application today.
