Farrah is an adorable 7 year old Dachshund who came to us from a breeder in Pennsylvania. After several years of substandard care, her breeder decided to retire her and she joined our rescue.
Farrah is a lovely little lady. She's about 8 lbs and likes to snuggle in her foster mom's arms. Farrah has been making up for lost time the last few weeks. She's been spayed, vaccinated and then had a dental done. Unfortunatly, dental disease is very common in Dachshunds and preventative care and routine cleanings are the only way to ensure their dental health later in life. Farrah's teeth were literally rotting and we had to have all of her teeth pulled to stop the pain. Farrah will need to eat softened kibble from now. Farrah is incredibly sweet. She is in a foster home with other dogs and cats and gets along with everyone. She is not a barker either. Farrah is becoming crate and leash trained and is working on her housebreaking as well. She will need a patient owner who is willing to continue working with her.
