Update 4/21/12: Opal is being returned to BP&SBR because her puppy antics are too much for one of her canine housemates who is very passive. She has been well socialized with dogs and children and would do just fine in a home with a dog who will embrace her puppy nonsense :)

Opal & her 3 sisters came from a kill shelter down south. Sadly, their mommy had been hit by a car and they were turned in to the shelter. These puppies will be 8 weeks old on 2/6/2012 and will be available for adoption after that date. They are pug/chihuahua mixed pups and will remain very small. We do not expect them to be much larger than 15lbs full grown. They are now in one of our foster homes living the good life. At this age, all they like to do is play, eat and sleep- and they've been doing plenty of that!

We are currently accepting adoption applications for these precious girls, but please be sure you are ready and able to take on the challenge of a puppy before applying! By adopting, you are making a promise to love and care for your dog for the next 10-15 years no matter what changes occur in your life. You must be committed to providing appropriate training to your dog as well as socializing your dog to help them grow into a well balanced adult.
