Please meet our beautiful girl, Patches! This amazing pup has lived a very tough life thus far. She's gone from near death to thriving perfectly and it's now time for this heroic girl to find her forever home & family.

We're not sure how Patches arrived at the shelter but we do know that when she came, she was only 4 weeks old and emaciated. She was nursed back to health by an amazing employee at the shelter. Ready for adoption, Patches was brought back to the shelter so she could be viewed by adopters. But, very suddenly, Patches fell ill. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and an enlarged heart. Again, this wonderful woman took Patches home. If she was going to heaven, it was not going to happen on the cold concrete of a shelter. Miraculously, Patches pulled through again and began to thrive.

We were asked to help find Patches and amazing forever home; the one she deserves. We happily obliged. Patches is a blessing to have in rescue. She's sweet, friendly, adorable and a smart young lady. Patches has a good start on her house-training. She is also crate trained and learning better leash manners with the help of her foster mom. Patches gets along perfectly with other animals (cats & dogs of all sizes) and is good with children as well.

Patches has been seen by our veterinarian and was given a pristine bill of health. Often pneumonia can present the appearance of an enlarged heart and our vet feels that is what happened. Her ticker is just fine. There is nothing wrong with her and we expect her to live a very full, wonderful life. Right now, she's 29lbs and will be 38-40 lbs full grown. She's happy to be your very best friend and cuddle buddy and she absolutely loves her toys. She's never had a home of her own and all that is going to change when the right person comes along and sees just how wonderful this girl is.
