Lance is a 5-6 month old poodle mix. We're not sure of his exact mix, but he could be mixed with cocker or even schnauzer. Whatever his mix is, it makes for one cute little guy! Lance originally entered the shelter system as an owner surrender. Soon after, that shelter ran out of room and he was transferred to another shelter to avoid being euthanized. When the second shelter was full, we stepped in to help Lance to safety.
Poor Lance has been tossed around far too much in his young life and we're so glad to say that he's only got one more stop to make- and that is to his forever home. Lance is about 9 lbs now. We don't expect him to exceed 20lbs in adulthood. He is a friendly, playful little pup. He gets along well with other dogs and would do fine with children 4+. Like any puppy, Lance requires further training. He is not yet housebroken and needs a commited family who will teach him kindly how to be a good boy. It's not Lance's fault. He's never known stability or been given the chance to learn what it's like being part of a family.
Lance caught a little bit of a cold at the shelter and we're treating him with antibiotics. He's already vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, so as soon as he's feeling better, he will be able to pack his bags one final time and move into his forever home.
