Say hello to Jake! This precious little boy was surrendered to a kill shelter because his owner was too sick to care for him. He was very nervous at the shelter and didn't understand why he was there and what those strangers were trying to do. It was best that Jake got out of the shelter as soon as possible. We were asked to take Jake and “no” is just not a part of our vocabulary.

Jake is so stinkin' cute! He weighs just shy of 8 lbs and is a bichon frise mix. He certainly has the beautiful flowing bichon tail. We think he's probably mixed with toy poodle due to his curly hair and small size. He is a young guy at just 1.5 years old and in good health. Once he arrived, he immediately loosened up and was ready to love everyone in sight. He is good with other dogs, partially housebroken and loves attention. In a quiet setting, he very quickly bonds with people. We think he'd do best with older children, 10+ years old. We do know that he gets nervous in the crate, so he will need an owner who is willing to use other alternatives, like a playpen or baby gate.
