Meet Kobi. In Japanese, Kobi means joy. That's the absolute truth when it comes to little Kobi. He was originally picked up as a stray and taken to a local shelter. He was a matted mess of a dog a treated for eye infections. Kobi was adopted by a very nice family, but the other dogs in Kobi's home were older and not happy about Kobi's puppy shenanigans. Now Kobi has joined our rescue to find his forever home.

The shelter thought Kobi was 1 year old, but the vet that later saw Kobi thought he might be as young as 6 months old. What we do know for sure is that Kobi is full of puppy energy & spunk. He instantly made friends with the other dogs in his foster home. They love to play and run as much as he does, so they get along well together. Kobi would not do well with older dogs- or dog's that don't like to play. He's all about having fun! Kobi loves his toys and his treats.

He does have some learning to do. Kobi can be a bit mouthy when playing with people. Though he doesn't try to bite hard, it's important that this behavior is discouraged. He just gets a little carried away sometimes. He likes to sleep in his bed and drag his blankets around. Kobi also gives kisses and is a good snuggler. He's doing well with his potty training, but still has some accidents. He also uses puppy pads. Kobi's perfect home would have a surplus of toys, another playful dog friend for him and children over the age of 8. A fenced in yard would be a plus, but is not mandatory. He certainly must be on a leash when outside at all times as he's apt to high tail it to whatever interests him!
