Penny is a beautiful 7 year old pug who was surrendered to a small high kill shelter. She was surrendered by a lady claiming her sister was the owner of the dog and they were afraid Penny would knock her over and she wouldn't be able to get back up.
Once you meet Penny, you'll find that excuse hard to believe. Penny is a very small pug who weighs about 13.5lbs. She is a tiny little lady and so very sweet. She is pretty laid back, but very loving and friendly with all people (including children) as well as other dogs.
Penny is not yet available for adoption. She has a growth on her leg as well as 2 mammary tumors which are believed to be cancerous. We're proceeding with her care and she will be going to our vet for surgery to remove these soon. Her growths will also be sent out for examination to determin if in fact they are cancerous and if so, how advanced the cancer is. We'll update Penny's information when we know more.
If you'd like to sponsor Penny this holiday season, we encourage you to do so. Penny is worth it and we hope to report good news soon!
