Princess is a tiny little shih tzu lady. She is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Princess is looking for her forever home- but not just any home will do. Princess is a lap dog and would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a furry friend to fill their days with joy. She'd prefer a home where her people are not away for too long at a time. She is great with children and other dogs. We'd assume that she would do fine with cats as well.

Princess is a very quiet girl and her foster family hasn't heard so much as a peep out of her. She is a good girl in the car and is working on learning new potty manners. Princess is a very picky eater though. She won't eat in her foster home unless she is hand fed. We're not sure if this has been an ongoing problem, but she is a bit on the thin side. She will eat out of her foster mom's hand, but turns her nose up at the food bowl. We also have not been able to get her to eat anything but wet, canned food. It's possible that she ate table food in her last home, which would cause her to be less than impressed by kibble.

Princess's new owners must be willing to work with her to ensure she eats what she needs. If she stays on a moist food diet, she will need to be provided nylabones or similar items to maintain dental health. Also, we'd expect her to require dental cleanings more often than the average dog because she is not eating hard food. At this time, her teeth are in good shape and we are still working hard to transition her to dry kibble.
