Fiona is something special! She is a 3 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Cocker Spaniel Mix who has now joined our rescue in search of the perfect forever home!

Fiona is about 30lbs and can stand to lose a few pounds. Although she didn't seem overly interested in food right now, we have a feeling that once she settles a bit more, she will be more food motivated. Fiona is not the type of dog that will jump all over you and lick your face. She is very gentle. She was a little nervous in the car, she she sweetly tucked her head behind my arm during the ride. Once she felt a bit more comfortable, she placed her head in my lap and was quite a pleasant, mellow passenger.

Fiona is great with other dogs. As soon as the initial sniff was over, she was wagging her tail and scooting around the backyard with the others. She is definitely a dog that will make a great companion for someone who needs a little love in their life. Fiona is the type of girl who will lay at your feet,pout when you leave the house and wiggle with excitement when you return. She takes her treats nicely and is such a gem!

Fiona is very mild mannered and laid back. We think she would do best in a home with older children that are more her speed. She can be a little hand shy at times but after spending a few minutes with her, she loosens right up and turns into a big mush. We think she might also be housebroken, or very close to it!

We will get more pictures of Fiona in the coming days. Right now, she has an unconventional haircut that took off the matting, but she will get another trim this week to even it all out and pictures will then follow.
