Waffles is a 12 week old border collie pup whose owners could no longer keep him. We're now searching for a wonderful forever home for our boy, Waffles!

Waffles is a typical pup in many ways. He loves to play with the other dogs and with toys. He also likes to snuggle and has lots of learning to do. In his foster home, we've begun teaching him about doing his duty outside in the grass. He is doing pretty well but needs reinforcement and someone who will take him outside frequently and wait patiently until he goes. He got a new collar and leash this week. That might have been his first because he was rather uncomfortable at first. He gets a little better each day, but it is a process that all puppies need to go through. We've also begun crate training. The first night was not fun for him or us! He voiced his disapproval for quite some time before settling down. He has been a little more tolerant each night but does whimper for the first few minutes. When we are gone during the day for brief periods of time, he rests in his crate and does very well. He will keep his crate clean for a few hours at a time, but we've set our alarm so we can wake up during the night to take him outside. He is too young to hold it all night. Waffles is about 12 lbs now and will be around 50-55lbs full grown. He is a beautiful boy and we are sure he will grow to be one handsome fella! Please do your research on this breed to make sure it is compatible with your family and home!

Waffles is going to do best in a home with a fenced in yard. He likes treats and is eating a high quality food. He is a bit on the thin side right now, but he does like to eat! Waffles will need to be neutered before he can go to his forever home, but we encourage you to submit your application soon if you are interested in adopting him.

Please remember- adopting a puppy is a serious commitment! Please be prepared to provide for and love this dog for the next 10-15 years- no matter what changes occur in your life. He is small and cute now, but he will grow to be a larger dog. He will need lots of training, love and socialization during his puppyhood to help mold him into a well rounded adult! If you are serious about giving Waffles a forever home, please submit your adoption application today!
