Peenut is an active 2.5 year old pure bred Jack Russell Terrier. She is joining our rescue because of a little sibling rivalry in her previous home.

Peenut is a pretty little lady who tends to compete with her sister and wants to be the top dog over her littermate which eventually ends up in a quarrel. The best thing for Peenut is to find a new home, where she and her big personality can live happily ever after, like all princesses deserve.

We strongly suggest doing your research about the breed you are interested in adopting. Like most Jack Russells, Peenut is very active. She would love to have a jogging buddy or avid walker and a fenced in yard with a tall fence so she can prance around and let all of her energy out in a positive fashion. Peenut also likes to give the squirrels a run for their money. The breed is known for hunting small game so she will spend her time in the backyard chasing any and all wildlife that enters her palace grounds. Peenut would probably not do well in a home with cats. She does get along with other dogs and is great at sharing her goodies and toys, but we'd prefer she packs her bags and moves into a home with a more submissive canine companion or as the only dog.

Peenut is housebroken, affectionate and good with children. She likes toys and has recently taken a liking to stuffed toys. She is crate trained and behaves well in her crate. She also uses it as her retreat when she is scared. She is very friendly when meeting new people, walks well on a leash and is an all around wonderful dog just waiting on the right forever home.
