Bacardi is a 16 week old Pomeranian/Sheltie mix who was surrendered to a high kill shelter. He has since joined our rescue.
Bacardi is a typical puppy. He is happy to be just that. He also likes to snuggle and was such a good boy for his first nail clipping. He is just about 8 lbs right now and we'd expect him to be about 25 lbs full grown.
Bacardi's foster mom reports that he really likes the company of both of her dogs. He is also amused by ice cubes, loves his blankets, snuggling and of course playing! He is doing well with his potty training and using the grass to do his business more often than not! They are using simple commands to "go pee pee" and telling him "good" when he goes in an appropriate place. He sleeps in his crate and night with his blankets and they just think he is wonderful!
He is a puppy and will get into mischief if unsupervised! He has went through the house and detected the breaches in puppy-proofing security, so they have adjusted things accordingly and his forever home will have to do the same.
Puppies are a lot of work and require a commitment to training and owning a dog for the next 10-15 years! Expect a puppy to chew, piddle on your carpet and leave a gift for you in the middle of your kitchen floor- it's just what they do! Be sure you are ready to make such a commitment before applying for this snuggly, adorable little boy.
