Callie is a cute, young, poodle mix who is very sweet and energetic. She was to be euthanized the day she was rescued and is loving her new leash on life. She made herself right at home and is adjusting beautifully to her new family. She has a strong desire to please her family and be loved. Callie is a cuddler who likes nothing more than to be near you. She loves to go on walks and play with her new friend, a standard poodle Kino. She is very smart and has already learned to sit and lay down for treats. She is even learning how to heel! She is crate trained and does not bark or whine when left in the crate when you leave. She is already housebroken!

Callie was going to be euthanized for food aggression. She was a stray and had to learn to protect her food and now she has learned that she does not need to do that anymore. She takes treats gently from our hand and we have trained her to not be aggressive. We can now pet her and take away her bowl while she eats. This is because she has learned to trust her owners. Her new parents will need to build that trust and continue to work on training her so that she can truly fulfill her potential. Callie would do well in a household with or without other dogs to play with. She would be best in a home with children over 12 years old.
