After 6 weeks in a new adoptive home, Chesney who is now called BELLA, was returned to rescue through no real fault of her own. She is now 10 months old and 35 pounds. She is completely and reliably fully house trained and knows several basic commands and is absolutely sweet natured and full of puppy love and energy. She enjoys being with other active dogs and loves to play with them or with a ball and a frisbee with her people. She is after all, at least in large part, a lab retriever although she will always be much more petite in size due to her mix, (possibly beagle). Because she has had some extremely difficult experiences being crated in the past, she loves her crate ONLY as long as the door is left OPEN at all times. She also does not like being left alone by her humans and shows signs of separation anxiety when not with her people.

Her ideal forever home would have a 5-6 foot fence or invisible fence (she has previously been trained to an invisible fence), have at least one other playful dog for company, and have an adopter who is committed to helping this sweet and truly beautiful puppy adjust to being left alone through gentle positive training. She is learning not to chase cats in her foster home, (she only wants to play with them) but it will take time, understanding and patience to help her learn all that a grown-up dog needs to know and to overcome her separation anxiety. Are you that loving, patient committed person or family? She will repay you with all the love and devotion you could ever hope for.
