This beautiful little girl is Jasmine! She is a loving and outgoing Terrier Mix who bears a striking resemblance to the Podengo dog; though that breed is very rare so we can not be absolutely what breed(s) she may be. If cute is a breed, Jazzy is just that! Jasmine and her newborn puppies were going to be put down because they were unwanted when a rescuer stepped up to the plate and took them in. She landed at BP&SBR by sheer accident, when another rescue picked up her puppies and accidently took another little dog in her place! Jasmine was sent in the wrong direction and we were asked if we could take her since she was heading our way. Of course we did, and maybe everything happens for a reason!
Jasmine has an outstanding personality. Jasmine puts her best paw forward everyday. Transport is stressful on any dog, but Jasmine didn't seem phased! It was love at first sight when…She hopped right into her foster mom’s arms just begging to be held; we couldn’t help but oblige her.
Jasmine loves people and will run up to anyone to say hello. She is just a little lover. In a few short days she has come to adore her foster family. She gets SO excited when they come to greet her. Her tail wags so fast we swear it spins in a circle; she sprints to her family and quickly finds a nice set of arms to rest in. We are sure that when she finds her forever home it will take her no time to bond even closer to her new family.
Jasmine is good with children but would do best with older children who can understand that she may get a little nervous at times. She gets along great with her foster fur brother, but needs to be with dogs that will respect her space. Jasmine loves the snow. She is working on her potty manners and leash skills and is making great strides at both. We are sure that in no time she will have these skills down.
Jazzy is a mommy who gave birth 7 weeks prior to coming to us. She worked hard for 5 weeks to completely ween her babies and was a good mama, but she's ready to live and just be a dog and have a home and family of her own.
