Tyler is a sweet 6 year old Chihuahua who was picked up as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter. There was no way we could leave a handsome guy like this behind!
Tyler’s teenie tiny frame is just packed with personality and he has quickly made friends with all of the volunteers! He has this grumpy-middle-aged-man persona going for him. It is nothing short of ADORABLE! He grumbles all day long which we have interpreted to be him saying ‘I love you’ because he even grumbles while giving kisses with a tail swinging from side to side! This little guy is really as sweet as pie and hoping that his new family comes along very soon.
Tyler’s foster mom has been working hard to teach him better manners and he is doing so well! He is mostly housebroken and is okay on the leash. He tends to stop and survey the area every so often, but we can’t blame the little guy. After being a stray, he probably learned that larger animals view him as lunch and is cautious when outside. With some sweet coaxing , Tyler is back in the fast lane and will continue with his walk and do his business. He will require frequent trips outside to keep up with his potty training, but he is doing much better and is clearly catching on. Tyler is fantastic with other dogs and certainly does not mind their company. Cats are okay too! Tyler is good with children of all ages as well!
