After being found as a stray and searching for his owners, Valentino was surrendered to an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky! We got the call the minute he came in and the next day, he hit the road, headed for New York!

Valentino’s foster mom just adores him! He might even be a little cuter and sweeter than his foster dad, but shhh… don’t tell anyone that! He is very affectionate, loves to climb up on your lap and give you kisses. He is just about a year old, and has lots of pup in him! He loves to play with plush toys and squeaky toys. Unlike some of his furry foster siblings, he does not tear them to shreds and leave the pieces randomly throughout the house. He likes his toys and wants to keep them! He has not shown any interest in Nylabones or things of that nature. He shares graciously with the other dogs and is phenomenal with people. Valentino would do fine in almost any home! He is good with children and would likely be fine with feline siblings as well.

Valentino is doing very well with his house manners. He doesn’t mess with any “people only” things. He is working on his potty manners, but they really are not that bad. He is getting into a routine in his foster home and is doing great! He is crate trained and though not super excited to go in there, he is quiet and does not make any messes. He was hesitant to get on the couch when he first came to his foster home, though there were 4 other smushy faces staring down at him in amazement. His forever family must be willing to share the cushion with this sweetie for snuggle-time!
