Taco is a 4 year old Chihuahua mix who weighs roughly 10lbs. He has been in rescue for just about a year and we can't seem to figure out why! Sure, there are a lot of chihuahuas searching for a home, but very few of them are as friendly as our Taco.
He loves everyone- even strangers. Taco has done quite a bit of learning since coming into rescue. We believe he lived outside before, so it has certainly taken some time & patience to teach him the ropes, but he has done very well. Taco is 95% housebroken and rarely has accidents with regular trips outside. Taco is also crate trained. He tends to chew if left alone with run of the house, so he relaxes in his crate when he is home alone and no harm is done. He gets along very well with the dogs in his foster home and has met a cat or 2. He might give chase, but he certainly wouldn't cause any harm. He loves playing with his lady friend in his foster home and they are often found rolling around on their backs on the couch. He loves treats & toys as well. He has learned a few commands like sit & stay and would do almost anything for a treat. He walks well on the leash and also makes a great cuddle buddy.
Taco would do best in a home with children 10+ and a family who has enough time and love to give to a furry friend. He would enjoy the luxury of a fenced in yard, but it is not required. If you are interested in adopting Taco, please submit an adoption application today!
