Riley is a beautiful gal that escaped a hoarder’s home in West Virginia and has come into our rescue. We are not quite sure of Riley’s breed(s). Her mother Mimi, a BPSBR graduate was a tiny puggle, but Riley’s ears stand tall and her body is much longer, so maybe we can sprinkle some dachshund into the mix and something else as well. No matter what breed this gal is, she is a 11lb compact little thing with the softest fur you will ever feel.

Much of Riley’s past is unknown. At just over a year old, she has proven that she prefers women and is frightened of men. She really needs a female caregiver. Riley has spent quite some time in rescue where she has learned so much! She is housebroken, walks well on a leash and knows to sit for a treat. She likes to have a safe place of her own and having a crate with a blanket of her own provides that. Riley loves to play with toys too! She, ironically will hoard and hide her toys for safe keeping.

Riley would do best as an only dog. She gets along with some dogs, but really likes the attention all to herself so if there are any dogs in her potential home, she must meet them first. She is a snuggle bug that will hop right on her mom’s lap for some cuddle time and would do best with someone who has the time to devote to a dog like her who is just overflowing with affection for her owner. Riley’s exercise needs are moderate and she would be fine with a couple daily walks or a fenced in yard to run around in. She is the perfect size for an apartment so that would be suitable for her as well.
