Buffalo Pug was asked to help another rescue with 2 beautiful Italian Greyhounds that had recently been set free from the puppy mill life. We said yes, and soon after, Zola and Gemma made their way to NY and into their foster homes.

Zola is a stunning 3 year old Italian Greyhound. She is such a pretty, sweet girl and we are working hard to help her get past the days of the puppy mill. She is making tons of progress and has been going out with her foster family often and socializing with many people and other dogs.

Zola loves her foster dad! She runs right up to him and is always happy to climb in his lap. She is a little nervous around her foster mom, but sweet nonetheless. Her potty manners are good and she always uses the puppy pad. She is not too fond of the cold and the snow and even with a sweater or jacket on, she shivers outside. She enjoys walks and does not pull on the leash and is great with her foster brother (another dog) and the cats in her foster home.

Zola is making huge strides every day. She is quiet in her crate and finds comfort in there when she is unsure, so it is always available to her. She will make someone a wonderful pet. Her forever family must be patient and understanding and we are sure she will spread her wings soon. She is fine with children, but due to how fragile the breed is, and the fact that she is sometimes afraid, we think children 8+ would be best.
