Colton is a 1 year old basset hound/wire haired terrier mix who came to BP&SBR as a puppy and was later returned due to allergies.

Colton is a beautiful, medium sized boy. He is very active and loves to go in and out of the dog door in his foster home and run in the yard. He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He is interested in the cats there and does bark at them, but that's about it. He is crate trained an does well with his bathroom manners. Colton should be crated when alone because he does like to chew. He needs lots of toys, but his foster mom has still had to rescue her sneakers a few times. With proper supervision, his chewing isn't much of a problem. He also enjoys his walks and walks pretty well on the leash.

Colton would do great in a home with older children. He is a dog's dog and is not much of a cuddler but enjoys laying on his bed and a good petting.
