Stella is a 7 year old pug that was surrendered to Buffalo Pugs by her owners. She is a wonderful girl, but when a baby came along, she became a little jealous. She was never mean, but when he began to walk, she would knock him down. The family felt it was in everyone’s best interest to find Stella a new home where she wouldn’t feel like she needed to compete for attention.

Stella has been well taken care of. She is in excellent shape and doesn’t have any of the “pug chub” that we so often see in the breed. She is well trained, housebroken, crate trained and knows some commands. Stella even walks well on the leash and stays by her foster mom’s side when outdoors. She shares her food nicely with the other dogs in her foster home and rides well in the car, though she really wants to be on your lap! Stella sleeps with her foster parents at night and doesn’t have any accidents overnight. She is often found snuggling up with her fur-sister, another pug, but must be under the covers! She makes the funniest sounds which keep her foster family laughing.

Stella does have a bit of a jealous streak in her. She is sometimes jealous when the other dogs in her foster home are being pet and she isn’t. Although she is fine with her big lab foster brother and little pug foster sister, we feel that she may thrive in a home with no other dogs. Stella is good with the 9 year old and 11 year old boys in her foster home. She doesn’t mind being picked up or played with. We would suggest that she goes to a home with children similar in age to her foster family, or older. We’d hate for her to feel like she has to vie for attention in her forever home.

Stella does have one silly little habit. When you scratch her near her tail, she spins and then goes into a tail-chasing frenzy! It is the funniest thing to watch her zip around and around until finally she gives up!
